Mother's Day

Sunday March 18th is Mother's Day here in the UK and I have a second card to share, this time for SMO's mum.

There are butterflies all over the new collections from CHA this year like MME and SEI (expect to see those here on my blog very soon), so it was great to see the theme of  butterflies for the Deep Ocean challenge.  I started out with this colour scheme for the Colour Create challenge using Pink Paislee Nantucket papers.

But then things went wrong slightly as the shades of those colours got a little dark on my watercolouring for this week's theme at Try It On Tuesday.  I used Inktense water colour pencils on the main image and on the and Tim Holtz die cut border.

The butterfly stamp is from one of my much loved Pink Paislee House Of Three stamp sets and I can't wait to get my hands on the Spring Jubilee ones this year, hope they land in the shops soon.
