WOYWW - 4th Anniversary

4 years of sharing crafty spaces with Julia at WOYWW.  I haven't played along for a while but my workspace is under construction so I thought some progress pictures were in order.
This unit in the corner was originally to stand and work at, but it's gradually filled with junk and had boxes pushed to the far depths that I never use.  Lots of it just has to go and I vow now before all WOYWWers that my craft purchases from now on with be considered and restrained.
The contents of the desk is in a box on the floor.  Apologies for the discarded sock in the foreground that I hadn't noticed.

I have a plan in my head of how it will all look if everything was in its proper place.  Regrettably, like the people on the TV hoarding programmes, I don't think there is a hope that it will all fit in.  The crafting corner just isn't a Tardis.  I will have to see home much of it I can manage to part with.

Happy 4th birthday to all my WOYWW friends.  It's been fantastic to meet such warm and friendly creative people.

Oh wouldn't it be fun if all our crafty spaces WERE a tardis - would save all our storage problems - or would we just buy more stash?!!!! Happy 4th WOYWW x Jo

Yes it will be worth it in the end and I am trying to not impulse buy but sometimes the heart rules the head!

Lol some identical crafty stuff is lurking in my corners! Moved house 3 and a half years ago and still sorting and rearranging - keep telling yourself "Creativity is not a pretty sight!

it is so easy for our crafting stash to get out of control but if you are tough on yourself you can bring it back to tidy and everything in it's place and a place for everything. Good luck

A good sort out refreshes the mojo and gives you space to work and think. Or you could just go vertical and keep it all :0).

What you need is a couple of bottles of something vinoey, some nibbles and a few invites to some good friends. A list of rules e.g. no tools to be removed, and you will soon lose alot of your stash with very little pain and no decisions to make! Make mine the first invite!!
Remember, coming clean is all good process for your therapy!

LOL! ALL crafters are hoarders, I think. But I can't tell you the number of times JUST after I got rid of something I thought of the perfect use for it. I also will not admit the number of times I then went out and re-acquired the exact same thing...

I’m sorry to be late in visiting but I’m still on my quest to get round everyone this week. I know it’s going to take some time, but I wanted to say that it’s amazing that the internet can bring together so many likeminded people and I’m grateful that WOYWW has also brought along so many new friends, thanks to Julia.


I’m sure your room is going to look good when it’s all re arranged and it will all fit in perfectly Kate.
