WOYWW

Very late blogging this morning as I have been watching the Chilean miners. It's compelling viewing but I have had to turn the sound off because the drivel coming from the news team is too awful. I don't know why they feel that they have to fill every moment of the footage with chat and psycho babble from people who have no connection to the event what so ever.
The work in progress pile, the one I can share anyway, there is some other major project work going on at the moment which is why I haven't blogged for a few days.

Another stamped image from John Byars Nostalgia range that's going on some Autumn challenges when I get a chance. It turned out that after all my internet searching to get this one it was sat on a shelf at Tidworth all along. DoCrafts had better be getting some more added to this range, I had hoped to see some Christmas ones out by now?

There's also a pile of boring yet essential jewellery components I bought yesterday and this week's Keep it Simple card.
The theme is seeing stars and I combined a little Artifacts star flower with a magazine freebie stamp to complete my border.
I've used the Lightening Black ink pad again to give the images a bit of shimmer.

I'm feeling lucky at the moment as I had confirmation yesterday that I've won a prize from Outdoor Photography magazine. Apparently it is a 'Black Rapid' and I will let you know just what that does when it arrives and I've found out for myself?!?!?
Don't forget that the other WOYWWers desks can be found at Julia's here.

Congrats on the win, well done. I agree about the inane chit chat that fills all reports - why can't they realise that sometimes the pictures are enough!

I like the little girl in the rainboots! Yes, and I can't stand the constant chatter of those reporters either - just hope that all of the miners make it out there!

Oh well done on the win - great fun..and I look forward to knowing what it is too! I thnk if DO were going to commission John Byars for Christmas stamps, they'd be around by now.....I have this very one and really like it.
Congrats on your win, whatever it is. Please let us know. And I'm so glad all the miners are safe, and agree that the commentaries are a bit out there. I was actually here earlier, but got that dreaded 503 error. Just came back to wish you a happy belated WOYWW (#2).
