Happy Sunday

Whilst the children are away the not-so grown ups will play. Out-laws have taken the older 2 to visit a farm and we 3 have been out to another party in the local park. A bit too damp today so after a quick visit and a chat with a few friends this afternoon we went on to a local posh hotel to take tea. This turned into steak and ale pie with chips, followed by cheese cake and a cappuccino. I don't eat out much due to my gluten intolerance so we ordered 1 main meal and 2 side dishes between us and very nice it was too.

It's show off Sunday on HS:MS and I've chosen a pic of one of the 30 roses my sister gave me for my birthday/to celebrate the new arrival. I've tried to dry them and although they look really leathery they are very delicate and crumble at the slightest touch.
Still have my handcrafted birthday club cards to share, but for now here is the present I was altering for mum yesterday. I'll take it round tomorrow and help the kids be the 1st to fill it in.

Have made a couple of purchases this weekend. New shoes for a christening. I haven't had posh shoes in ages and I can't even walk in them but what the hell!
The photo was taken inside my other purchase - a mini fold up studio which is all the rage over at the CraftsbyCarolyn forum at the moment. Haven't quite got the backdrop right yet. I'm going to have a practice with it and collect lots of props ready to use it when I photograph my latest jewellery collection.
SMO is all excited see yesterday's comment from Kirsty!

Summer's Here!

At last a lovely summer's day. Unfortunately it's the end of the hols and the kids are too tired and ratty to appreciate it.

Couldn't resist sharing another piccie of himself for today's Portrait Saturday.
Mum's had a summer house built last month (new there was a reason for the rotten weather this summer!). Sneaked this picture this afternoon ready to make her a little gift. Will share tomorrow.

i i i i i i like you very much

Today's letter is 'i'. I've ordered most of the back to school stuff I need on line from M&S so a nice big box arrived today for the kids to decorate.
My local camera store had an event recently with free vouchers for an A3 print. Really wanted one of the children together but it was a labour of love getting the shots!
Nearly time for the new term to start and found these shots of the teacher's presents I made at the end of last term - academic diaries and note books.

Thanks to the Dinky Diva for posing with her beautiful hazel eyes to provide today's letter 'O'.
Managed to get another card made. This time based on this week's I {heart} 2 stamp sketch.
Cherry Blossom stamp from the Lakeland and more BasicGrey Sultry papers. Had some new papers delivered today, so there should be a change from Sultry soon.

PS. His Magnificence, the Supreme Commander is feeling much better.

No time...................

........................ for blogging for the last few days as the Supreme Commander has had his 1st set of jabs and is feeling feverish and clingy. He informs me (by telepathy of course) that he will be making his own blog entries to update you on his progress soon.

PS. thanks for the lovely comments about the necklace!

'J' and 'Q'

'J' for yesterday - bit of an upside down cheat!
'Q' for today - taken by the Dinky Diva whilst hanging off the top of the bunk beds.
Managed the DCM little extra this week as it was literally quick and easy - to make a quick card to have to hand for those unexpected occasions.
DCWV card, sticker and stitch rub-ons, BasicGrey Sultry paper and a K&Co flower rub-on.
I have a few crafty projects to share that I managed whilst juggling family goings on but didn't get a chance to blog. Here's the 1st, an entry for a local jewellery making competition. Use of the large silver heart was the only competition rule with proceeds from the sale of the hearts going to charity.
I didn't win anything but it was great entering my 1st jewellery making comp.

Do you remember the 1980's sci-fi series, I used to love watching that.

An arm can make a good 'V'.

I'm Back

Computer has been down but many thanks to Steve I am BACK!!

Still no free time though so blog entries will have to be short but sweet. Sweet as sugar in fact as today's HS:MS is 'S'.

I think with a stretch of the imagination you might find an 'S' in the shape of our heads somewhere, it's my new rule, any excuse for baby photos!
