Craziness

It's desk sharing day at the home of WOYWW over at Julia's Stamping Ground and I have something shocking to share!!!
This is my stamping and kids craft area and it is the ultimate example of what can happen if you employ the 'push back' method of desk maintenance.  What's happened is that over Christmas and new year the supplies have been pushed back to make room for Christmas food and drink, some of which is still in evidence, and now I am left with an almighty mess to clear up.  I really don't have the energy, but looking at it, I think it could be the cause of my energy drain.  It's sapping away the goodness and replacing it with slumped shoulders and temper flares as little sub-piles dislodge and slither to the floor.

Just don't ask me next week if it's still there!

Thank you for sharing a bit of your world with us WOYWWers this morning! I hope you have a wonderful week. I can see that there are serious drawbacks to the push and pile method of tidying!

Am I a very bad person when I say that this post made me laugh? It's so wonderful to see other peoples messes sometimes and how they fret over them, instead of cursing at my own. ;-)

I can see that you may need some help from the tidying up elves and little pixies, although once they are done at yours maybe you could send them around to me, LOL!!

Have a great WOYWW and a fab week, Luv Karen #86

I'm getting to that point with my desk. I pushed back so far that things started to fall off the desk and onto the window sill. And this desk has only been in use for three weeks! I'm hiding from my mess right now, but will probably try to tackle it tomorrow night...maybe!

Happy WOYWW! Katie #16

A huge jumble definitely saps me of the will to create. Take the time to clean it up and you'll feel 100% better, trust me!

Oh I have "organized" with the push back method quite a bit! Hate is when the pile attacks us and doesn't stay in its place! Have a super week - dianneo #123

The hardest part is starting..nonce you get the bit between your teeth, you'll be fine AND you'll feel sooooo much better. That's a nice looking fruit bowl, could just do with a banananana :D

I can understand you putting off the tidying, but I reckon you will feel SO much better once you start!

You are absolutely right that piles of untidiness can zap your energy straight away. Even though it is daunting, have a go at a little bit of a pick. You'll probably find it a bit of a pick-me-up too. Remember how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

I just focused right in on the bowl of fruit! I had lunch only an hour ago, but I'm hungry already :) Thanks for sharing your workspace!

I think a spot of decluttering could really help here - it might give you some of your energy back. Good work with the fruit bowl though! ;-)

Hee hee. Luckily my dining room table (my workdesk) is round and not up against a wall!! I'd be in the exact same predicament!!

Happy WOYWW
