12 Tags of 2012

Tim Holtz has continued his phenomena of the12 Tags of Christmas by introducing 12 Tags of 2012.  I've missed out on this so far where I was poorly and looking back I can see now why there was a sudden rush to get honeycomb paper!  The March tag and instructions are here and this is my version.

I was won over by the wood grain stamp as I just know it will have so many uses, mine came from Ali-Craft if you are trying to find one in stock at the moment. I've used Gathered Twigs Distress ink with a little Walnut Stain around the edges.

I didn't have the butterfly die so I used some Melody Ross chip board shapes and covered them with strips of double sided tape.  All of the instructions for this great technique are over at Tim's place.

Instead of the metal flowers at the bottom, I've used the Tattered Pine Cone die, but rolled it up to make a rose rather than a pine cone and added a hand cut leaf.

The flower has been finished off with some Rock Candy Distress Stickles.
