By The Cute And Girly: April

April 1st today and time for a new challenge at By The Cute And Girly.  This month it's a theme that I'm sure will prove popular - Vintage.

For a while now I've wanted to try and make a project with Studio 490 Art Parts and of course inspired by the fabulous creations I've seen on Hels blog.  When I saw the lovely goodie bag this month's sponsor Tea House Bridge had sent for the design team to use, I knew the time was now!

I've used Spiced Marmalade Distress Stain to colour the spool, then inked it with Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink and stamped in the same colour with lots of different Pink Paislee stamps and the Wild Meadow set from IndigoBlu.

The flowers were made with a punch on plain white craft card and then stamped with a Prima text stamp.  They have been very pesky to photograph!  The picture above, although a little blurred shows the true colour of the pink blooms which are inked with Picked Raspberry.  The picture below shows the sheen on the flowers from a light spray of Chalkboard Glimmer Mist, but the colour is showing as more mauve, which isn't how it looks really.

Hidden at the back is a blue flower made in the same way, but inked with Salty Ocean Distress Ink and spritzed with Cosmic Shimmer spray.

I've used so many supplies on this project it's hard to list them all, but the lovely pom pom lace trim, cotton buttons and pink resin flower are all from this month's sponsor Tea House Bridge.

This is awesome Kate!!! I love how different it is from a card. Your flowers are stunning! To answer your question, I put some chocolate in the book and send it to my mom for her birthday. Hugs, Brigitte
