Glitter Girl Adventure #83

Glitter Girl's latest Adventure (#83) is all about using highly patterned paper and combining it with other patterns and colours on layouts.  I thought it looked interesting and the placement of the photos and paper blocks made a really nice template that could be used again and again, so I was up for a try.
I'm not sure if I've cheated a little by using patterned papers from the same collection, but it seemed the obvious place to look for colour matches to my original choice of multi coloured highly patterned paper ( the colourful hexagons.)   All of the patterned papers are from the Dewey Decimal collection by Lawn Fawn.  I've picked out 2 co-ordinating plain cardstocks from my supplies in pale blue and dark red.  For the photo mat I've gutted the hexagon paper and then used the reverse side to make a panel.  It also meant I had a spare strip to make one of the banners from it on the left.
Most of the embellishments and letters came from the sticker sheet in the Dewey Decimal collection pack.  The little apples were just perfect as she's being fed stewed apple.  I have added a few other supplies.  The scalloped border sticker is from Crate Paper's Pretty Party, the little stickers around the journal block are from Lily Bee Destinations and the little blue words are Authentique Diction stickers.
I think in the end everything was just too clean lined for my style so I stamped some arrows and splattered on a bit of blue mist.  The bottom right corner feels a bit blank, but as these photos were taken before scrapbooking entered my life I don't have date details for them and will need to do a bit of investigating to find the information to fill in there later.

Back tomorrow with a second and very different take on this patterned paper idea from Glitter Girl.

I've not seen these papers before but I really like them and I like what you've done with them too.
