10 minute art

Picked up this little easel and canvas at The Works yesterday, going to have to go back for more!! The canvas is just slightly larger than an ATC and the easel will be perfect for photographing my ATCs on.
It's for Oh Alice's challenge #23 - Birds. I can't pretend a lot of work went into it. The wader is from Inkadinkado's bird assortment and it's stamped with VersaFine ink (put a spare acrylic block inside the canvas to make the surface firmer). I've then spritzed water over washable felt tips to make the background (mine are French Stabilo's). Used a black pen for the flying birds and a white pencil to highlight the lighter areas of the sea in the centre of the panel. Finally I've added a bit of colour to the bird with Distress Inks. It was fun so I've already started on a bigger version.

Discovered these in Marks and Spencer yesterday.
Melt in the mouth, wonderful and delish.

And I've got flowers too.

How neat to see a canvas that tiny! Love what you've done with it - charming! Also thanks for the tip about putting an acrylic block beneath the stretched canvas when stamping. Thanks so much for playing along with Oh, Alice!
