Photography Nightmare
That's what this project has been, a bit of a photographic conundrum. Small-N-Grubby had been on at me, since I decorated a frame for his sister's photo, to decorate one for him. I decided on a box frame from Paperchase.
In the end the only way to get the pics was to take the glass out for some of the shots. Being a lovely sunny day again hasn't helped. The glass is stamped with a BoBunny flourish using Staz-on ink, it just about shows in the picture. I've used a photo from our camping trip and filled it with bits and pieces, the sort of thing he would make little collections of..........
A badge, padlock, hardware and string. I wanted to make the most of the opportunity that the box frame gives for layers which lead to the idea for the bunting and the acetate heart.
I've had a go at Tim Holtz's chipped enamel effect on the metal initial, which is stuck to the front of the glass with silicone glue. I didn't have the actual Distress powder but I used an alternative that doesn't melt to a smooth finish. The little flower on the top was part of a pack kindly sent to me by The Craft Garden.
All the papers I've used are by Little Yellow Bicycle and the rub-ons are from Creative Imaginations.
I'm entering it for the following challenges:
Studio L3 Compendium of Curiosities #12 - Chipped Enamel
Simon Says Stamp and Show - Layers
The Craft Garden September - Bunting
