Spread Your Wings with Neutrals

A couple of challenges combined on one card today.  The theme at Less Is More for challenge #57 is neutrals and for Allsorts #144 they want to see you 'Spread Your Wings'.
I love doing these little cards and canvases with the Inkadinkado sea birds on thought I would try a new one for this challenge.  I got the Distress Markers out to begin with hoping to use them directly on the page, but that gave a colour which was a little too harsh and no amount of water seemed to diffuse it.  So instead I have used an Antique Linen Distress Ink pad swiped on a tile and sprayed with water to make a colour wash.
The fine details on the ground were added with a Brushed Corduroy Distress Marker and the bird has been coloured with a little Pumice Stone Distress Ink and some of the Antique Linen too.

Less Is More #57 - Neutrals
Allsorts #144 - Spread Your Wings
Craft Your Passion #100 - Anything goes

I have never tried to make a CAS card myself, but I do find such cards very attractive. To me this is a perfect example of a CAS card!
