Mini mini for By The Cute And Girly
We are half way through June, I know it's not possible what with the weather in the Northern Hemisphere still trying to fool us that it's winter!! My mid-way make for the 'Cute as a button' challenge at By The Cute and Girly is a mini mini 2.5 inch square concertina book.
I'm in love with mini Magnolias and just increased my supplies of them at Simon Says Stamp (one of our regular sponsors). I chose 8 of them to showcase on this project, stamped them and then realised I wouldn't be able to use my Copics as the colours would bleed through.
To solve the problem I chose to colour them with pencils and to keep the look quite soft. I kept the colour palette the same, so if I used red pencil on one image I used the same red on any of the others and the same with the greens, blues and purples. This helps them look less of a mismatched selection!
The corners just have a little detail stamped on from various Papermania stamp sets.
In case you were wondering, these are not all my minis, oh no, I have plenty more!
Share a new project with us over at the challenge blog that you think is 'Cute as a button' and you could be in with a chance of winning one of our great sponsor prizes.
I'm entering my mini mini book for challenge #53 over at The Official Magnolia Ink Challenge - Anything Goes, happy 1st anniversary to all at TOMIC.
