Just Playing - New products

Not much time for crafting over the weekend, but there always seems to be time for spending on craft supplies.

First off I bought a new Chalkboard Glimmer Mist.  I've decided that I definitely prefer these to the standard Glimmer Mist version. My new colour goes by the rather unexciting name of Sprout, but it's actually a nice green with a gold finish.  I made 2 little journalling cards for myself while I was testing it.

They are just a lined index card lightly sprayed and then cut in half.  I added stamped images from MME and Pink Paislee.

The 'Create a memory today' phrase is from a Wendy Vecchi set.

In anticipation of the arrival of new Distress Paints I was tempted by Stamping H (via WOYWW, you discover such interesting things when you nose around other peoples creative spaces) to try Fresco Finish paints and in particular the translucent ones.  They can be painted over a stamped image and still allow the stamped image to show through.
I experimented with a few wooden pegs to get the feel of them, using the same MME stamp set as above and a base layer of Claudine Hellmuth paint.

I like them, although 2 of the shades I bought were only so subtly different I could have saved myself some money, or bought another extra colour.    There are some Distress Paints on their  way to me, so I will wait and have a little play with them before I decide if I want any more colours of either type.

I really love what you did with everything, especially the index cards.
