Crayons for Grown-Ups

As part of Jump Start 2013 Ronda Palazzari shared a great video about using Caran D'Ache Neocolor II watersoluble crayons.  I liked what I saw and bought a very small set of ten to have a play with.
I've blended three colours going down the background panel getting darker as I went.  Once it was all dry I've stamped over with VersaFine ink with no problems.  The bulrushes are from Technique Tuesday, the little dragon fly is from Royal Langnickel and the sentiment was a magazine freebie.

As I mentioned yesterday, I've been really cracking on with the craft tidying.  I'll go into details of how I have reorganised everything soon, but one thing I have created (under Shimelle's advice) is a 'Use it or lose it' box.  The frame on this card must be at least 7 years old, so pat on the back for me.

Challenges:
Less Is More #111 - Frame it
Simon Says Stamp And Show - Water
Flutterby Wednesday #231 - Any winged creature
Inspired by Floral Fantasies - I love Brenda's blog, the whole thing is an inspiration, but this card particularly is inspired by her work with silhouettes.

As the crayons were out and I was playing I made a couple of journaling cards.  One uses the same effect as above and the other using a watercolour effect that Ronda shared using her 'Picture Perfect' stencil.

Those colours are stunning Kate, such vibrancy as well. I'm not familiar with the medium but will certainly have to check it out so thank you for telling us about them.

Thanks you also for taking the time to create such a lovely piece to join in my blog celebration and for your kind comments which are greatly appreciated.
