A wedding album in an evening

A wedding album in an evening???  Yep, that's right, well probably a couple of evenings as I didn't get a clear run at it, but using Project Life ideas an album in an evening is no problem.  Warning: lots of pictures!!

I took pictures at a friend's wedding last year, she's moved away now and I hardly see her, the photos were just languishing in the 'to scrap' file.  I find wedding photos are very 'of the moment' things and if you don't do something with them quite promptly, then the chances are you never will.  2 things prompted me to get these pictures out and into an album.  One was this mini album from Paperchase.
It holds 56 photos in either all portrait or all landscape format depending on how you fill it.  At £2.50 it was an impulse purchase with the vague idea of making a Project Life book, but when I looked through my printed photos I realised most of the wedding ones were portrait and I'd printed about 40 that were worth keeping.  A perfect fit.  (Note to self: buy more of these, that book can still happen.)

The 2nd thing to motivate me was a free pad of 6x6 Classic Elegance papers by Melissa Frances in issue 113 of Simply Cards and Papercraft.  The colour palette of teal with soft blue, pink and neutrals complemented the wedding colours and the floral and damask patterns were perfect too.
I cut the pages into 6x4 panels and then layered up the remaining 2x6 strips on top.  I also used Echo Park Springtime paper and some Pink Paislee and Neapolitan papers from the scraps bag.  This matched the patchwork effect that was already printed on some of the pages, like this one below.  (Glitter letters from Creative Imaginations, no ampersand though, a hash tag, but no ampersand!)
My Minds Eye Collectables has a sheet of  3x4 cards which went well with my pages so far.
I mounted them onto 6x4 pages as the album doesn't have any smaller pockets.
For co-ordination I've used a roll of music washi tape and old letter stickers from Girls Paperie Vintage Whimsy throughout the album.
On some of the pages I added my text directly onto the photo.
I made up my own 6x4 cards for other simple pages, above is one of my favourites with a Dear Lizzy sticker, Authentique word and punched butterflies.
To end the album I have a picture of the bride and groom driving away.  Not 'The End', but 'The Beginning'.
